Job Description:

A Home Group Host can expect to serve approximately 10-15 hours per month for a period of 10-12 weeks. Before each Home Group session a 4 week "Training Group or Turbo Group" for Facilitators and Hosts will be provided. An evaluation session after the conclusion of a Home Group session will also be included for Facilitators and Hosts.
ome Group sessions will run for 10-12 weeks with a suggested 2 hour HG get together each week. The time frame/day for this will be negotiated with the group for optimal attendance
There may be other non frequent Leader gatherings to evaluate, tweak, share best practices etc. but all time commitments should fit into the 10-15 noted above
Hosts are expected to coordinate an atmosphere that is warm, friendly, clean, and free from distractions.
A Host must be willing and be prepared to coordinate some snack food, childcare if needed, and other detail oriented items.
Hosts are encouraged to delegate responsibilities to other group members where appropriate so that group ownership can be developed.
Hosts are encouraged to communicate with the Facilitator after each session on what they need help with or what can be improved or adjusted.

Ability to be conversational and willing to step out and be hospitable
Ability to develop an environment conducive to feeling relaxed and open to learning
Willingness to include others in Host responsibilities to create ownership
Willingness to coordinate necessary arrangements according to group needs and be proactive (example: childcare rotation, snacks, etc)
Commitment to prayer for the group
Willing to commit 10-15 hours per month to serve
