The Legacy Update

On behalf of the Legacy Follow Up Team I would like to thank everyone who made our 30th Anniversary and Groundbreaking weekend such a success. So our thanks to all of you.

The Bible exhorts us to pray and praise. The prayer vigil allowed us to give thanks for all the goodness and grace we receive and to pray for the future aspirations for our Church, our ministries and our families of Faith Church. We were blessed to have all our time slots filled and in many cases by more than one or two people. Our thanks to those who sacrificed warm beds to pray throughout the night, as well as during the daytime. We know that God will hear our prayers and provide according to his will.

Despite record breaking cold temperatures during February and lots of snow, amazingly the weekend of Groundbreaking was warm and dry and the time we spent outside at the Groundbreaking ceremony was simply wonderful. It was inspiring to see the place where our future programs and services will be developed and expanded and great to see our children and youth claim their land as people walked out to their future activity areas. So now we begin to build, believing that God has created this opportunity for our Church to continue to grow and develop.

Groundbreaking weekend saw our total giving to date for this expansion reach $318,000. This puts us approximately 1/3rd of the way to our goal. We reached this total in 11 months which is a tribute to all those who have committed to give for their diligence and commitment to supporting our Church’s future development. This total has since increased to $327,698 so we continue to move forward. We thank all of you who contribute to the Legacy Program on a regular basis and would invite anyone who is not invested in this giving program but would like to become involved to contact either Ric Gray, Mike Hayes or myself for further information.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to Gods work at Faith.

Sincerely,

Stuart G. Shepley.

Building into the Future - In recent months, Faith Church has made several major advances in its ministries to families with youth and children. This next phase of expansion seeks to capitalize on those advancements be creating environments that lead to life-changing in adults, youth and children.

A youth ministry suite which will include a fully functional cafe and relevant environments for students.

A multi-use space (called The Theatre) for KidStuf and evening junior/senior high worship events; that space will also be suitable for fellowship meals.

Renovations to the current lobby and sanctuary areas, providing an updated worship environment.

The reach of our global ministry will increase by investing approximately $30,000 in fighting AIDS in South Africa and in assisting the Indiana Dream Team with launching its exciting new ministry.

Building a stronger Faith -
Have you ever dreamed about how Faith Church could better reach our community with additional facilities? If so, then you are not alone. From the spring of 2004 through the summer of 2005, Faith's Expansion Team had been working to find the best combination of church architect and construction firm for the newest addition (Phase IV) to our facilities.

An architect with a good foundation -
During their April 2005 meeting, the Governing Board of Faith unanimously voted to contract the services of Felty-Heinlen Architects and Planners of Mansfield, Ohio. They did not only design our current project, but their founder, Mel Felty, will lead us through the process of creating a Master Plan for our 44 acres. This master plan will assist us not only in our next project, but in how we can best utilize the property that God has entrusted to us.

A construction company that builds with integrity -
In the summer of  2004, after an Expansion Team meeting with the founders of Edwards-Rigdon Construction Company, Tom Edwards and Jeff Rigdon, it was clear to them that Tom and Jeff were committed to integrity and quality. Their business dealings with one of our board members, as well as the outstanding references we received from churches and companies they had previously worked with, made this company a great addition to our overall project team.

On First Fruits Sunday April 23rd, the staggering amount of $151,932 was given to God for our coming expansion!
